National and central estimates for air emissions from road transport

This report evaluates emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants (CO2, NOx, VOCs) from road transport in the 15 EU Member States between 1981 and 1998 as well as emission projections to 2010/2020, based on information available at the end of 2000. It also compares different methods for preparing emission projections and proposes several actions to improve their quality. The report provides background information for transport emission indicators included in the EEA's publications Environmental signals 2001 and TERM 2001.
