Abstract:
The European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) established by Regulation 166/266/EC requires countries to annually report information on the releases to air and water and on off-side transfers of waste water and waste. The data are published on the E-PRTR web site by the European Commission with assistance of the European Environment Agency (EEA).
This report covers the third informal review of the E-PRTR dataset organised by EEA together with two of its ETCs (ETC/ACC, ETC/SCP). The main objective of this informal review is to assist countries in the improvement of the E-PRTR data quality by providing feedback on potential data quality issues and inconsistencies with other reportings.
The main objective of this report is to provide a summary of the information on the 2011 review process and findings (covering reporting year 2009).
Detailed results of automated stage 1 test were provided to countries on 17 May 2011 in the form of country-specific Excel tables. Country-specific feedback reports (Word files) covering the stage 1 and stage 2 checks were made available to countries on 27 June 2011 and updated 16 September 2011.
Review results can be downloaded from the CIRCA Interest Group "E-PRTR" by only those Eionet users that are member of this Interest Group. If needed, please contact the authors for more details on these review results.
The original dataset can be downloaded from the EEA data service: E-PRTR dataset version of 17th October 2011
