Life Cycle Analysis of GHG and Air Pollutant Emissions from Renewable and Conventional Electricity, Heating, and Transport Fuel Options in the EU until 2030
ETC/ACC Technical Paper 2009/18

Released: 2009/08/28: See the report

Abstract
This paper gives an updated overview on life cycle emissions of renewable and conventional electricity generating options in the EU as well as heating and transport fuel provision in those countries until 2030. The LCA work is based on the Global Emissions Model for integrated Systems (GEMIS) version 4.5, adds data for the year 2005, and for the EU-27, and uses the new EU methodology for GHG emission calculation from bioenergy, and also energy allocation for electricity from combined heat and power generation (CHP, or cogeneration).
