Abstract:
The EU air quality legislation requires the Member States to report on zones designated under the Framework directive (96/62/EC) on ambient air quality and to report annually on the levels in comparison to air quality objectives.
Four Daughter Directives set the limit values, target values, thresholds and objective values for the individual pollutants:
Data is supplied by the Member States in the form of a predefined questionnaire (Decision 2004/461/EC).
This report gives an overview and analysis of the submitted information concerning data quality and zone exceedances in the Member States on 2005.
The report consists of two parts: Part 1: Main report (which includes a list of zones in the EU with exceedances) and Part 2: Annexes.
In 2005 it was not mandatory for Member States to report on Pollutants under the fourth Daughter Directive 2004/107/EC.
