Data retrieval Background info Country support for reporting
The DEM (Data Exchange Module) is PC based software and can be used to Exchange of Information (EoI) on Air Quality (AQ) data (raw data, statistics and ozone exceedances) and meta information on operational AQ networks, stations and measurement configurations. The DEM enables to add, modify and delete meta information on AQ networks, stations and measurement configurations and to import measurement data with extensive error checking.
Before 1 October each year the participating countries submit the EoI information to EEA. In the period from 1 October until December the received data are uploaded in AIRBASE. During the upload process the data are checked on outliers, missing essential meta data, missing data, possible overwriting of data already stored in AIRBASE and possible deletion of stations or measurement configurations with data. In case irregularities are found, feedback reports are sent to the data suppliers. The data supplier is informed and asked to confirm the changes. In the period January until February the feedback is processed and the statistics and exceedances are calculated in AIRBASE. From the beginning of March the newly submitted data are publicly available in AIRBASE.
