Ambient Air Quality Portal (pilot)

The rules for the reciprocal exchange of information and reporting on ambient air quality for Directives 2004/107/EC and 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council are set out in the Commission Implementing Decision 2011/850/EU. The Decision requires that an Ambient Air Qaulity portal (the AQ portal) is set up to provide information on the implementation of the Decision.

The Commission has established a pilot to support the transition to the new system ( e-reporting).

During the transition period the AQ portal will contain the testing for e-reporting carried out by the pilot countries together with ETC ACM and EEA. The new rules will come into effect on 1 January 2014.
