European Topic Centre for Air Pollution and Climate Change Mitigation (ETC/ACM)

Welcome

The ETC/ACM is a consortium of European institutes with the Netherlands Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) as its lead organisation.

Main tasks of the ETC/ACM are to:

• Assist the European Environment Agency (EEA) in its support to EU policy on air pollution and climate change mitigation
• Report on the progress of EU environmental policy on air quality, air emission and climate change mitigation issues
• Participate in thematic and cross cutting assessments of the EEA
• Support further harmonising European monitoring networks and reporting obligations on air pollution and climate change.

This web site assures the availability of products services of the ETC/ACM as well as its predecessor ETC/ACC.

ETC/ACM - EEA - Eionet

European Topic Centres (ETCs) are centres of thematic expertise contracted by the European Environment Agency (EEA) to carry out specific tasks identified in the EEA strategy. ETC/ACM is one of these six centres.

The centres are part of Eionet (European Environment Information and Observation Network). This partnership network of the European Environment Agency (EEA) and its member- and cooperating countries involves approximately 1000 experts and more than 350 national institutions. The network supports the collection and organisation of data and the development and dissemination of information concerning Europe’s environment.
